The Diana Isaac Retirement Village in Mairehau, Christchurch is a Ryman Village, and is described as providing "a full range of retirement lifestyle options along with the very best of resthome care from caring and friendly staff. The village features the latest designs in retirement living - architecturally designed - Independent Townhouses & Apartments, Serviced Apartments, and a Care Centre, set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens." It also says that the village include an all-weather bowling green, and a Village Centre with a heated indoor swimming pool, spa and gymnasium. There is also an internal atrium, beauty and hairdressing salon, library and internet services, dining room, bar, lounges, shop, and even a movie theatre. Their site goes on to say that there is so much for residents to enjoy, including village events and outings. Named after Lady Isaac - one of Canterbury's well known citizens. Lady Diana was renowned for her generosity and support for the arts, education, and her widely acclaimed work in conservation and the preservation of endangered species.
