MONTESSORI – THE MOST RELEVANT EDUCATION METHOD ALWAYS

She created the Montessori Method almost a century ago, and her principles continue to be relevant today. Why is such an ancient educational theory still applicable in today's classroom? There are several reasons why Maria Montessori's lessons are still valid today. Continue reading to learn about three of them. COLLABORATION AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSMISSION A Montessori classroom encourages increased cooperation and observational interactions as an intrinsic part of the learning process. In a Montessori classroom, children learn how to govern their social relationships and have the flexibility to share, communicate, cooperate, mediate, negotiate, and compromise. As a result, the classroom becomes self-regulating, with natural social conflicts addressed mostly by the kids themselves, with the help of a Montessori teacher. SELF-RELIANCE AND SELF-AWARENESS The prepared setting provides an atmosphere in which kids are empowered to make decisions for themselves. Every object in the environment, including furniture, shelving, cutlery, dishware, cleaning equipment, and Montessori materials, is adapted to the child's size. The instructor is not the attention of the students, so there's no focal point in the classroom. Rather, the young kids interact with the world as a group. Inside a Montessori classroom, unlike a typical classroom where the instructor gives one lesson to all, the entire class, the teacher bases teachings on the requirements of the student individually. This allows kids in a Montessori environment to strengthen their weaknesses via targeted instruction while also allowing them to build on their strengths. Students can opt to undertake an assignment of their choosing, but the syllabus guarantees that all curricular or learning goals are satisfied. THE FUNDAMENTALS OF HUMAN LEARNING HAVE NOT ALTERED. How can a more than a-century-old educational concept be relevant? The simplest response is that the fundamentals of human learning have not altered. A kid nowadays may have a range of experiences that kids a century ago did not have. But the way kids learn from their surroundings, as well as observations, is the same now as it would have been when Maria Montessori initially began researching human learning. She saw that youngsters are inherently bright and inquisitive. Montessori discovered that allowing children to pursue their natural interests made learning simpler and more natural in her encounters with 'difficult to teach' kids. This is still true today. Choose a subject that your small child enjoys learning about. Do you provide your kid the opportunity to study more about that subject? Is it tough to entice your youngster to study that subject? When your youngster is studying a fascinating subject, learning becomes fun and play. This happens in the school as well, but Maria Montessori witnessed it in her children.
