As my hair dresser BeverlyD remarked on this subject, she is “remembering the 70’s and the day she could wear that”. First, it’s midriff, not mid-drift. Second, I’m not talking about Britney Spears’ late 90’s midriff that involved the area from the bosom to the hip via low rise jeans where you got the pleasure of seeing her crack (two treats in one) and also incorporated a belly button ring– you know you had one. Or wanted one. No, this is the classic 60’s-70’s midriff at the WAIST above the navel, with about and inch or two of skin showing, no more. If there’s a classy version of the midriff, this is it.
