Examine the rainwater pipes before the monsoon. Look at the cracks and leaks properly. You can call the plumbing specialist to check the leaks or broken pipes. Check the main water supply, ensure all the pipes are in good condition. 2. Check the areas of moisture: In the monsoon, it is very important to check the walls of the house. In monsoon, the wall tends to grow mildew on it and further, it leaves a musty smell. They generally occur, near leaky pipes, in bathtubs, showers, and sinks, near the window. They can make you sick. In this case, it is very necessary to check the moist area of the house during the monsoon. You can use bleach to wipe out the moulds. Bleach prevents the growth of the mould. 3. Check the Inside atmosphere: Lack of natural light and humid air inside the house can create dull atmosphere. Therefore, make sure your home is well ventilated and fresh air and natural light can come inside the house. Use bright colours and keep doors and windows open to feel the home fresh, cheerful. Apply oil at the sides of the doors to prevent it from the moisture. Moreover, make sure the windows frames are moist resistant. Check the hingers are properly fixed. 4. Check the Electric Connection: Check all the electric switches in your house. Call an electrician, and make sure all the electrical connections are properly checked. Ensure, all the connections and external electronic switches are checked properly. Cover the external connection and switches properly to prevent it from the rain and avoid the chances of short-circuit or electric shock. Ensure, all the electric switches are safe during the monsoon.
