The “Spiritual Capital of Andhra Pradesh ” is a term Tirupati is known by. Countless places of worship are located in this temple town. In order to fulfill their religious and spiritual objectives, pilgrims from all over the world come here. Sri Venkateswara Temple, which is situated atop Tirumala Hills, has come to be associated with Tirupati. 7 (Seven) Hills The seven hill is well-known for housing the temple to the venerated and most sacred Hindu god Venketeswaraswamy. Seshadri, Vedadri, Garudadri, Anjandri, Vrishabhadri, Narayandri, and Venkatadri are the names of the seven summits (Adri in Sanskrit means Hill). The Venkatam hill is thought to be a portion of the heavenly mount Meru that Garuda transported from Vaikuntam to the earth. There are many traditions relating to the manifestation of the lord in Tirumala, and the sacred temple of Sri Venkateswara is situated on the seventh peak, Venkatdri. The Lord’s shrine is very old, and the Sangam literature as well as early inscriptions from the Chola and Pallava eras make several references to it. The Lord of Seven Hills was so named by Lord Venkateswara. Anjanadri – Hill of Lord Hanuman A statue of Lord Hanuman carved out of granite is in the temple. There is a heavenly story behind this name. Anjanadri was the bride of Kesari, the monkeys’ king. They spent a long time without having kids. Anjanadri spent several years performing penance on a hill close to Akasa Ganga. Later, Anjanadri received the fruit from the wind god Vayu. She gave birth to Lord Hanuman as a result of consuming that fruit that Vayu had provided. It is named Anjanadri because Anjanadri performed penance on this peak. Anjani, the daughter of Kesari, was given Hanuman as a son after many years of penance. A manifestation of Lord Shiva is Hanuman. The blessing of immortality was given to Hanuman by Mother Mahalakshmi. As Anjanaadri, Brahma gave the hill Anjani’s name.
